Our aim is to ensure all health services and employment opportunities within the NHS are accessible, appropriate and sensitive to the needs of individuals and not prejudiced because of a person’s age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership status, pregnancy and maternity status, race, religion & belief, sex and sexual orientation or social status.
This means that differences in services and opportunities must be shaped by people’s different needs; it does not mean that everybody has the same services and opportunities regardless of their needs. Therefore, we aim to commission healthcare services that are equitable to everyone. We also aim to recruit and retain a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) data and action plan 2020/21. This plan was co-produced with a working group of CCG staff and gives the WRES data against the indicators, as well as the planned action against each of these.
