Another virtual community event will take place this week – enabling local people to put their questions about COVID-19 and the vaccination programme to a panel of health and care experts.

The event will take place tomorrow - Wednesday February 24 at 6 p.m. and there is no need to book.

You can join the event online by visiting www.sneevaccine.org.uk

This is the third virtual event held over the last couple of months by the Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care System (ICS) as part of its focus to inspire confidence in the COVID-19 vaccine and dispel the myths and any doubts people may have about taking up the offer of vaccination.

Dr Juno Jesuthasan, Prevention Lead for NHS Ipswich and East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group and a prominent campaigner for health care equality issues, said: “Although the latest figures show that our ICS area is among the best performing in the country for administering the vaccine, it’s important we do all we can to give people the information they need so they have confidence in its safety and efficacy.

“I have absolute confidence in the vaccines, which have undergone thorough testing to make sure they are safe to be administered.

“But I wholly understand that some people may have some concerns and these virtual events are an invaluable opportunity for people to ask any questions they may have.”
